The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia handed over to Pakistan on Friday a gift of 300 tons of dates. The Deputy Head of Mission of the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad, Abdullah Zahrami, and Saudi Finance Ministry representative Saad Otaibi delivered in a ceremony here the trucks loaded with dates to Khalid Toro, Director General of the Emergency Relief Cell of the Cabinet Division of Pakistan. Abdullah Zahrami said on the occasion that every year the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz sends the gift of dates to the deserving and needy people of Pakistan. He said this year these dates would also be distributed among last October's earthquake affected people in Azad Kashmir and North West Frontier Province (NWFP). Khalid Toro said that Saudi Arabia has always generously assisted Pakistan in its hour of need.
