Bush to Meet German Chancellor on Thursday

U.S. President George W. Bush is set to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel this week.
Bush will meet with Merkel during a visit to her home state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, en route to the G-8 summit in Russia.
According to the White House, Bush's visit to Germany “will underscore our two nations' commitment to advancing freedom and prosperity and to strengthening the trans-Atlantic partnership.”
