Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources Ali Ibrahim Al-Naimi made today an inspection tour of Al-Kharasania oil field project. Al-Naimi was accompanied by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Assistant minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources for Petroleum Affairs; Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources; Abdulrahman bin Mohammad bin Abdulkareem, Under Secretary at the ministry for Companies' Affairs and a number of officials at the ministry. Upon his arrival, Al-Naimi was received by Saudi ARAMCO's high-ranking officials. Al-Kharasania oil field project is considered one of the most important projects and is planned for increasing the Kingdom's crude oil production up to 12.5 million barrels per day by the year 2009. Al-Kharasania project was started last year and is expected to be ready in 2007.
