Minister of Higher Education Khaled bin Mohammad Al-Anqari said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz will lay later today the foundation stone of Hail University project which will be one of the most distinguished universities. Al-Anqari said the first phase of the university is estimated to cost SR 645 million, adding that the university will be established on an area of more than nine million squaremeters. He pointed out the university will include colleges of Medicine and other Medical Sciences, Engineering, Sciences, Computer Engineering and Sciences and a Community College. He also said that King Abdullah's initiative to establish such a university in Hail shows the leadership's keenness to develop higher education in all parts of the Kingdom. In this context, Al-Anqari thanked Prince Saud bin Abdulmohsin, Governor of Hail region, and its Vice-governor for their support to take care of the region's projects in general and of the university project in particular.
