Three-day joint exercises between the Pakistan Navy and UK Royal Navy Ship HMS Gloucester have started in the Arabian Sea, said an official statement. The Royal Navy ship arrived in Karachi to participate in the Combined Maritime Coalition Campaign presently led by Pakistan Navy's Real Admiral Shahid Iqbal. Pakistan Navy's Type-21 frigates, PNS Tariq and Badar, are participating in the exercise with the HMS Gloucester. After the exercise, PNS Tariq and HMS Gloucester will join CTF-150, which is already operating in the Gulf and Arabian Sea. The exercise is aimed at enhancing the inter-operability and professional skills of both navies.
