THREE DIE IN HELICOPTER CRASH IN RUSSIA

THREE PEOPLE DIED ON FRIDAY WHEN A RUSSIAN MI-8 TRANSPORT HELICOPTER CRASHED ON THE APPROACH TO LANDING IN SIBERIA, THE EMERGENCY SITUATIONS MINISTRY SAID.
ANOTHER 7 PEOPLE WERE INJURED, MINISTRY SPOKESMAN VIKTOR BELTSOV SAID.
THE CRASH OF THE HELICOPTER, WHICH HAD 18 PEOPLE ON BOARD, HAPPENED IN THE KEMEROVO REGION, HE SAID.
THE MI-8 WAS AN INTERIOR MINISTRY CRAFT AND WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND AT AN AIRBASE, THE RIA NOVOSTI NEWS AGENCY REPORTED
