Minister of Interior Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz has reiterated the keenness of Saudi officials on the return of Saudi detainees in Guantanamo, and said intensive efforts are exerted in this respect and the detainees, with the grace of Almighty Allah, will soon return. He made these remarks while replying to questions raised by newsmen Sunday evening following his patronage of a graduation ceremony for a number of training courses at the training city of the public security. Prince Naif highlighted the skill and loyalty of all security men in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. "A firm belief in Almighty Allah, adherence to the Prophet's sunnah (teachings), loyalty to Almighty Allah, to the King and the country constitutes the basic strength which makes a security person aware of his duty." Asked about shifting the issue of settling problems of indecent behaviour and nuisances to the commission of investigation and prosecution at the expense of the commission of promotion of virtue and prevention of vice, Prince Naif said "such an interpretation is not correct." He added that the commission of promotion of virtue and prevention of vice will continue to perform its duty, and will receive all possible support because it is one of the pillars of Islam. "This development is not more than cooperative procedures , and the men of investigation and prosecution are men of high qualification, and coordination will exist between them and the men of the commission of promotion of virtues and prevention of of vice," he noted. In reply to another question about internet statements with signatures of more than 60 persons which allege that Saudi Arabia doesn't apply the Islamic shariah, Prince Naif said "if these signatories are men of specialization and aware of the Islamic shariah, then they should realize the fact that Saudi Arabia has been implementing the Islamic shariah and its constitution is based on the Holy Quran and the Prophet's sunnah.
