18 DEAD IN COACH CRASH IN ARGENTINA

AT LEAST 18 PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND 10 INJURED WHEN A COACH AND LORRY COLLIDED IN SOUTHERN ARGENTINA EARLY TUESDAY MORNING, AUTHORITIES SAID ACCORDING TO DPA.
THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT, WHICH OCCURRED SOME 1,600 KILOMETRES SOUTHWEST OF BUENOS AIRES, IS STILL UNKNOWN.
BUSSES AND ROADS IN ARGENTINA ARE USUALLY IN BETTER CONDITION THAN THOSE OF ITS NORTHERN NEIGHBOURS, BUT DRIVERS ARE KNOWN FOR AN OFTEN RISKIER DRIVING STYLE. --SP 21 30 LOCAL TIME 18 30 GMT
