A leg injury will not prevent Slovak Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda from proceeding with plans to host British Prime Minister Tony Blair in Bratislava and travelling for talks with President George W. Bush in Washington this week, Dzurinda's office said Wednesday, according to DPA. Dzurinda is recovering in a Bratislava hospital from broken bones suffered in a skiing accident last week. Doctors were expected to release Dzurinda for Blair's visit Thursday - the first visit by a British premier in modern Slovakia's history. The two men planned to discuss security issues, the European Union and business relations. On Saturday, Dzurinda plans to begin a four-day, official visit to the United States. He planned to meet Bush at the White House and discuss bilateral relations, including Bratislava's request that the US lift its visa regime for Slovaks. Bush invited Dzurinda to Washington last year when Bratislava hosted a summit between the US president and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
