Prince Saud al-Faisal, the foreign minster, has highlighted the importance of the recent visit of French President Jacques Chirac to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and said the visit would have a positive impact on bilateral relations. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Prince Saud said the talks of Chirac in Riyadh had focused on bilateral relations as well as on a number of international issues, notably the Palestinian problem, the situation in Lebanon and Iraq as well as the problem of Iran. He noted that the Kingdom and France are keen on enhancing the pillars of regional and global peace and security, and on settling disputes through diplomatic means.
