Final shape has been given to the visit programme of President George W. Bush to Pakistan, who will stay in Islamabad for over one and a half day, on arrival from Hyderabad, India, on March 3, Pakistan's Ambassador to Washington Gen (retd) Jehangir Karamat said. Bush's programme includes his one-on-one meeting President General Pervez Musharraf, followed by an elaborate conference by delegations of both sides, Karamat told the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). He said President Bush would speak to a gathering of invitees from the fields of business and politics, as well as notables. It will be followed by an event at the U.S. Embassy, where Bush will deliver his remarks. Besides, there will be a sports event of cricket, to be followed by a banquet to be hosted by Musharraf for Bush and the U.S. First Lady, Laura Bush. An event related to earthquake rehabilitation is also on the cards, the ambassador said. "Discussions have been completed on the visit programme, while the specific areas to be covered in the scheduled talks have been decided, and the subjects to be included in the joint statement have almost been agreed upon," Karamat stated. --more 13 19 Local Time 10 19 GMT
