On behalf of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Secretary General of Supreme Commission for Tourism, the Commission's Assistant Secretary General Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Dakheel inaugurated here today International Forum on Sustainability Indicators and 21st Century Agenda on Tourism Aspects hosted by the Kingdom and organized by the Commission in cooperation with the United Nations Tourism World Organization. In his speech delivered by Dr. Dakheel, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz emphasized the importance of the Forum to enlighten people on sustainable tourist development, noting that the Forum will discuss 12 goals to achieve the economic feasibility, social benefits for hosting local societies and environment protection. The Prince emphasized the Kingdom's interest in sustainable development in general and tourist development in particular. He stressed the keenness of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Commission's Board of Directors on organizing the Forum and the workshop in cooperation with Tourism World Organization to activate the cooperation agreement between the Commission and the Organization. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the Organization's Regional Representative in the Middle East Amr Abdulghaffar, Sudan's Minister of Tourism and Environment and representatives of a number of countries.
