Saudi Arabia extends assistance to Palestinians

Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ahmad Abdul-aziz Qattan said here today that the Saudi government has been working for the support of the Palestinian issue.
In a statement, Qattan said the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has undertaken necessary measures to transfer the financial aid of August and September 2005 (USD15.4 million) to the account opened by the General Secretariat under the name " Palestinian National Authority Budget".
He pointed out that such aid comes within the care about the Palestinian national economy to ease the suffering of the Palestinian people.
He added that the aid expressed the Saudi government's commitment to the implementation of Arab League's decisions at all levels.
