Riyadh-based Naif university for security sciences and Paris-based Sorbonne university have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation in the field of researches and scientific activities as well as in the field of exchanging expertise. Dr Abdulaziz al-Ghamidi, the president of Naif university for security sciences, said the signing of the MOU comes within the framework of the university's efforts to enhance the pillars of Arab security, prevent crime and develop the concepts of criminal justice as well as to improve the performance of the Arab security organs. Dr al-Ghamidi reiterated the keenness of the university on benefiting from the experiences of the other countries. He noted that the signing of the MOU was in line with the directives of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the interior minister and chairman of the university's board of directors, which aim at enhancing scientific and technical cooperation with the concerned authorities, notably the UN, the UN's regional institutes as well as the Arab, European and American universities . 'Such memorandums will help the university to benefit from the expertise and advanced technologies of others', he added.
