The number of pilgrims coming to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform this year's Hajj from abroad reached 1557447, according to official reports. In a cable to Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister and Chairman of Hajj Central Committee, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, said the number of male pilgrims among those coming from outside the Kingdom amounted to 846556 representing 54 percent while the females stood at 710891 representing 46 percent. Pilgrims coming from abroad increased by 19109 pilgrims compared with last year's figure, an increase of 1.2 percent, said the report. Out of them 1413169 came by air, 117785 by land and 26493 by sea, the report said, adding that this year's pilgrims represent 177 nationalities. Now that all pilgrims have entered the Kingdom by air, land or sea peacefully, Hajj march has made great strides towards a successful end, thanks to Allah Almighty and the government's efforts, Prince Mohammed bin Naif said.
