A total of 14 persons were killed and seven seriously injured Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision in a village near the Nigerian capital Abuja. The accident occurred when a bus carrying returning holidaymakers from the south-eastern part of the country was in collision with an articulated lorry, DPA reported. Federal Road Safety Commission spokesman Ahmed Ibrahim said the dead included a mother and her three children. The bus driver was also among the dead, the spokesman said, adding that many of the victims had yet to be identified. --SP 20 12 Local Time 17 12 GMT
