Prince Abdul-Majeed Bin Abdul-Aziz, the Governor of Makkah region and Chairman of the Hajj Central Committee, is scheduled to inaugurate on Saturday the second charitable project carried out by the philanthropist Mohammed Bin Aboud Al-Amoudi in Muzdalifa. The project, which is a charitable kitchen that cost SR15 million, is aimed at providing pilgrims with free meals. The project is the second in the series of the charitable projects carried out by Al-Amoudi, according to a report published today by Saudi Gazette. The first one was carried out in Arafat with an overall cost of SR55 million. The two charitable kitchens will distribute more than three million packed meals to the pilgrims throughout Hajj. The project is run under the supervision of Al-Wifada and Al-Siqaya Committee and is considered the largest project in the world in terms of production. The project is spread over an area measuring 5,000 square meters consisting of three stories and separate service halls for men and women. It also serves tea to pilgrims and has ablution facilities. Dr. Mohammed Bin Aboud Al-Amoudi expressed his appreciation to Prince Abdul Majeed for his support to all philanthropic projects in the holy shrines, which are aimed at enabling the pilgrims to perform their rituals in ease, comfort and tranquility. He also underlined the unlimited care given by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to pilgrims pointing out that the government has mobilized all its potentials in the service of the guests of Allah. The charitable kitchen in Arafat served more than five million meals to pilgrims last year. Amoudi pointed out that the project will secure jobs for more than 1,000 Saudis during Hajj.
