Prince Khalid Al-faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region, who is also Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee launched today the extension scheme of Arafat-based Charitable Project that provides at least four Million ready-meals for Pilgrims at Arafat. On arrival at the Charitable project's site, the Prince was greeted by the Chairman of the project Dr. Mohamed bin Aboud Alamoudi and listened to a detailed briefing about the idea of the project and its accomplished phases as well as the ways of preparing hot and packaged meals and how they could be distributed among the Pilgrims. Later, the Prince inspected various sections of the project and got acquainted with all preparations so far undertaken. The Project comes in line with the great care and attention of The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his faithful Crown Prince to serve Pilgrims and to provide them with all means of comfort and facilities to perform their Hajj rituals in peace and tranquility, Alamoudi said. Expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Governor for patronizing and inaugurating the new extension of the Project, he pointed out that the Prince is keen to make Hajj season fully successful provided with comprehensive services. More than SR 80 Million Charitable project, spread over an area of 18,000 square meters, is highly equipped and well prepared to provide meals to the Pilgrims during their standing in the plains of Arafat and while their movement from Muzdalifah to Mina.
