Syrian Foreign Minister Farouq Al-Shara left here today for New York. Al-Shara is scheduled to participate in the session of the UN's Security Council, due to be held on Monday at the level of foreign ministers. The Syrian News Agency reported that Al-Shara will hold talks with a number of foreign ministers of the countries which are permanent members of the UN's Security Council and with Kofi Annan, the UN's Secretary General, on issues of mutual interest.
