The 4th meeting of GCC Joint Defense Council starts in Manama

Ministers of Defense of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states held here today the 4th meeting of GCC Joint Defense Council.
The Saudi delegation was headed by Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General.
Bahrain's Minister of Defense Major General Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Khalifa delivered a speech welcoming the ministers of defense of GCC countries.
Also, he mentioned the achievements of the late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and expressed confidences to Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the Saudi people, wishing the Kingdom every success during the era of King Abdullah and his entrusted Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Minister of defense and Aviation and Inspector General. He also congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the 75th anniversary of the national day.
At the end of the opening ceremony, the ministers of defense of GCC countries held a closed-door session.
