Embassies host National Day receptions Beirut, Sept 24, SPA -- Saudi embassies in Beirut, Jakarta, Damascus, Nouakchott and Cairo held special reception parties on Friday on the occasion of the Kingdom's National Day.
Ayyoubi highlighted the existing fraternal relations between the Kingdom and Syria, and lauded the Kingdom's role in the service of the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Places. In Cairo, the reception party was attended by Prince Talal bin Badr bin Saud, the Head of the Saudi and Arab Basketball Unions, Dr Mohammed Sayyed Tantawi, the Sheikh of Cairo-based Al-Azhar University and a number of senior officials. Chairman of the Egyptian Council of People Dr Ahmad Fat'hi Sarour highlighted the great services being extended by the Kingdom to the Arab and Muslim nation. Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Council of the Arab Economic Unity Dr Ahmad Juweili praised the economic achievements attained by the Kingdom. On his part, Dr Osama Al-Baz, the political advisor of the Egyptian President, said the Saudi-Egyptian relations are "strong and deep-rooted." Dr Al-Baz hailed the Kingdom's role in the service of the Arab and Muslim causes.
