Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, the President of AGFUND today announced the names of laureates of AGFUND annual prize, now in its seventh year, for pioneering developmental projects. Three laureates won among 131 contesters from 42 countries. The first prize, allocated for international or regional organizations' projects in the field of tiny loaning to contribute to achieving the developmental goals for the third millennium, went to tiny loaning for deprived areas project which was implemented in Tunisia. The second, allocated for private associations in the field of tiny loaning to alleviate poverty effect, went to Kashef Foundation for tiny loaning for women in limited income societies which was implemented in Pakistan. The third, for individual projects which aim at taking tiny loans to the most poor, went to the tiny loaning for women which was implemented by an initiative from Maria Teresa Garcia and Marta Piatris in Mexico.
