The General Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Alsheikh, who is also Chairman of the Senior Ulema Commission and Religious Research Administration and Ifta, today hailed the successful plans carried by security authorities to foil subversive actions by the deviant group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, the General Mufti said the measures taken by the security men to forestall what could have been committed by the terrorists led to the prevailing of the long-standing beliefs and concepts of stability of the public order and the enforcement of security in the country. He thanked Almighty Allah for this great virtue as He helped the security men to achieve this noble act for the sake of the people. Citing some verses from the Holy Quran and sayings of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him), Sheikh Al Alsheikh explained that those who work day and night for the security of the public and to bring about stability in the country will be rewarded by God more than those who are seeking reward through fasting or other worshipping. He urged citizens and expatriates to report any suspicious behavior they might see coming from members of the deviant group. If you notice that your son or a relative has changed faith or has become confused or started to think about becoming disobedient, you have to take him to a religious scholar who can show him the danger of his thinking and the right way instead, he said. The General Mufti called on those still involved in subversive actions to repent to Allah and surrender to the authorities rather than keep hiding away. Finally, he wished the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, his trusted crown prince and their sincere aides, particularly the security authorities, every success.
