Mufti of the Kingdom makes statement

The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Alsheikh, who is also Chairman of the Senior Ulema Commission and Religious Research Department and Ifta (deliverance of legal opinions) explained that what has been published in some newspapers, quoting some news agencies, that he invited a group of Israeli clergies to take part in a religious reconciliation conference to be held in Riyadh is categorically untrue and baseless.
Citing a verse from the holy Quran, the Mufti called for verifying baseless news that might cause harm to others. The verse reads as follows "O ye who believe! If a sinner comes To you with any news, Ascertain the truth, lest Ye harm people unwittingly, And afterwards become Full of repentance for What ye have done".
