The preparatory forum of Muslim scholars and thinkers for the extraordinary Islamic summit, organized by Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), began here today its deliberations. Addressing the forum's inaugural session, Dr Nizar Madani, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the cradle of Islam, realizing its responsibility towards challenges facing the Muslim nation, believes in the importance of the meeting of the Muslim leaders to exchange views on challenges facing the Muslim nation, and to formulate a working plan for tackling problems that stand before the aspirations of the Muslims. Dr Madani pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has hosted this forum to prepare for the convening of the extraordinary Islamic summit, . 'The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is fully aware of the significant role that can be played by the Ulema in the service of the Muslim interests', he said.
