Quseibi/Statement 2 Riyadh Citing efforts being exerted by the Labor Ministry for the recruitment of the woman, Dr Al-Quseibi said these efforts include prevention of mixed works, avoidance of recruitment of woman for hazardous jobs in line with the article 160 of the labor system, avoidance of the work of the woman between sunset and sunrise in line with the article 161of the labor system, enabling the woman to enjoy vacation of four weeks prior to her expected delivery date and six weeks after delivery in line with article 161 of the labor system, enabling the woman to foster her child in line with article 165 of the labor system, and making rest seats available for the working woman in line with article 171 of the labor system. Moreover, Dr Al-Quseibi said the Ministry will take into consideration the need of the woman for work and the need of the society for her work, the approval of her legal guardian, decency of the working woman and dressing the Islamic uniform. her work should suit her nature, her work should not be at the expense of her family life, and it should not lead to social or moral problems. Dr Al-Quseibi said the number the Saudi women working at the public sector has amounted to 231,007 and 43,917 at the private sector.
