Minister of labor Dr Ghazi al-Quseibi has highlighted the recruitment policy being adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and said it aims at creation of a balance among the nationalities of the imported workforce. In a statement to SPA, he said the suspension of recruitment of some Bangladeshi categories comes in line with the policy of rationalization of the recruitment process. He noted that this suspension includes some home and agricultural vocations and makes recruitment of the establishments confined to some professions like medicine and engineering and excludes workforce of maintenance contracts and governmental cleanliness works provided that this workforce should not exceed 20 percent including visas for the employer. Dr Al-Quseibi pointed out that the recruitment procedures are subject to periodical revision. He lauded the role of the Bangladeshi workforce in the process of economic development in the Kingdom like the other Arab, Muslim and friendly nationalities.
