A roadside bomb exploded at the entrance to a tunnel in central Baghdad on Tuesday targeting a U.S. military convoy, police said. It was not clear if there were casualties. The explosion occurred as the convoy was about to enter the tunnel in Bab Shargi, near the central Tahrir Square, said police Capt. Abdul-Hussein Munsif. He said two Humvees appear to have been damaged. An Associated Press reporter near the scene said U.S. and Iraqi have cordoned the area and the convoy was still in place.
