Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard paid a visit here today to Egyptian Siamese twins Ala and Wala who have recently undergone a successful separation surgery at King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh upon the Crown Prince's directives. Upon arrival at the City, the Crown Prince was received by Dr. Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al-Manie, the Minister of Health and a number of officials. The Crown Prince congratulated the twins' parents on the success of the surgery and praised the Saudi medical team for its success. At the end of the visit, the Crown Prince replied to reporters' questions. He described this great medical achievement as humanitarian, moral and Islamic. He said that there is no differentiation between us and the brotherly Egyptian people and this is our duty towards our Egyptian brothers or any patient. The Crown Prince expressed his pride in Saudi doctors who have been distinguished by these operations and added that our Arab and Muslim brothers should also be proud of them since this is a humanitarian service. He noted that the health of the twins has been daily improving. The Crown Prince was accompanied by the Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani and a number of officials.
