U.S. President George W. Bush received here yesterday the Chairman of Islamic Center in Washington, Dr. Abdullah Khoj, on the occasion of the end of his work-period in the United States. Dr. Khoj told The Saudi Press Agency that the meeting, which was in response to a personal invitation from President Bush, was cordial and dealt with the current situation of the Muslim minority in the U.S and particularly in Washington. He added that President Bush affirmed the American commitment of making all efforts to allow Muslims to perform their religious duties freely without any discrimination. "The U.S. President expressed his desire to learn more about the situation of Muslims here and to benefit from their views of the procedures undertaken by his administration to protect them," said Dr. Khoj. He pointed out that President Bush promised that he will send his Advisor for Terrorism Affairs Frances Townsend to the Islamic Center to meet leaders of Muslim minorities to get aware of their problems. Dr. Khoj thanked Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S, for his unlimited support to the activities of the Islamic Center.
