Iran extended voting again on Friday in a presidential run-off election between moderate cleric Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and hardliner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, an Interior Ministry official said, according to Reuters. The official said polling stations would now close at 11 p.m. (1830 GMT), four hours later than originally scheduled. The polls opened at 9 a.m. (0430 GMT). In last week's inconclusive first round vote, polling hours were extended several times and stations finally closed at 11 p.m. to allow more voters to cast ballots. First-round turnout was 63 percent of Iran's 47 million voters.
