Voting in Iran's presidential election was extended by fourth extra hour today to 10 p.m. (1730 GMT), Reuters quoted state television as saying. Voting was originally scheduled to close at 6 p.m., and must finish by midnight. Officials say they expect turnout of 70 percent or more, approaching the record of nearly 80 percent when reformist Mohammad Khatami swept the 1997 election. Friday's vote pits hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad against three challengers including moderate former prime minister Mirhossein Mousavi.
