The Iraqis requested Wednesday's conference to discuss boosting security, reconstruction and rule of law in their country. The transitional government is expecting strong support from the world community. Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari wants countries to speed up delivery of promised aid and forgive Iraq's huge financial debt. The six-week-old Iraqi government will also present their own plans for the transition period ahead, as it writes a constitution and prepares for the next round of elections late this year, according to a report of Reuters.
