The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today reaffirmed its commitment to all international agreements aiming at protecting the world against the dangers of weapons of mass destruction, achieving peaceful co-existence and establishing nuclear free zones. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, an official source of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said "Based on the Kingdom's firm belief and endeavors in support of international efforts aiming at helping the world community to evade the dangers and repercussions of weapons of mass destruction, and calling for peaceful and civilized co-existence among the countries and peoples of the world, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has joined all international agreements and treaties which curb the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and supported all steps and efforts aiming at setting up nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction free zones. On the occasion of the special meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency Governors Council scheduled for Vienna on June 13, 2005, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would like to reaffirm its permanent wish in cooperating with the IAEA and its commitment to the conditions of international relevant treaties, topped by the Non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and its appendices, including the tiny quantities protocol. Moreover, the Kingdom would like to reassure the world community that it doesn't possess any nuclear facilities or reactors or fissionable and related materials, in accordance with the relevant accords, the Kingdom's firm stances in support of international peace and security, its wish to see other peace-loving countries to get rid of weapons of mass destruction and the enhancement of cooperation with IAEA for the sake of achieving the security and stability of the world community".
