Syrian forces raided the hideout of a group of suspected terrorists near the capital, killing two and foiling alleged bombing plots, Syria's official news agency reported. A member of the Syrian security forces was also killed in the Thursday clash, according to 'SANA' news agency. The late Friday report by SANA said the group leader, Abu Omar, and an accomplice were killed and another suspect was arrested. It said security forces cracked the group following several months of surveillance.
