Syrian security forces have clashed with extremists, killing four and wounding two during a terrorist attack targeting a deserted building near the state-run radio and television complex in Damascus, a Syrian official said. Fayez al-Sayegh, director general of Syria's state-run radio and television, said "a group of extremists" tried Friday morning to storm a deserted building near the radio and TV complex in Damascus. Syrian security forces foiled the attack, which resulted in the death of four extremists and the wounding of two others, Sayegh told The Associated Press by telephone. He said a security man was also killed in the clash, while four attackers were arrested by security forces. All the attackers are Syrian.
