Minister of Culture and Information, Iyad Bin Ameen Madani, arrived here yesterday at the head of the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the 38th session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which will be held here on Wednesday. At Cairo's International Airport, he was received by Egyptian Minister of Information Anas Al-Faqi and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ibrahim Al-Saad Al-Ibrahim, who is also the Dean of Arab Diplomatic Corps. In a press statement, Madani said that the Council's session will focus on combating terrorism phenomenon and other issues of concern to the Council. He added that the Saudi media, for example, had tried to project the deviation group's way of thinking, so it had generated an effective role in informing the public on the extent of the extremism of the group and showing them how far-off they are from Islam and its noble mission. He hoped that the outcome of this session would have 'clear and united' perspective in achieving perfect Arab media work to combat terrorism.
