Two security men were slightly injured by glass shrapnel when an occupant of a high speedy car opened fire at a highway security patrol on Riyadh-Qassim Road Wednesday morning, the Security Spokesman at the Ministry of Interior Major General Mansour Al-Turki said. He clarified that highway security patrols observed a speedy car before reaching a speed observation point of a security check center. An attempt to stop the car led one of its occupants to shoot at the patrol which chased the car, he said and added that shooting resulted in breaking the car's front glass and very slightly injuring the two security men by flying shrapnel. The offending car escaped to a desert area and security authorities have been following it up, Al-Turki noted.
