A senior U.S. official will hold talks with Pakistani leaders on terrorism and the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christina Rocca is to meet with President Gen. Pervez Musharraf and other senior officials during her four-day stay in Islamabad, the ministry said, according to AP. Pakistan is a key ally of the United States in its war on terror, and Rocca is arriving here weeks after Pakistan announced that it had arrested Abu Faraj al-Libbi, reputed to be al-Qaida's No. 3 leader. Al-Libbi was caught after a shootout in the northwestern town of Mardan, and is still facing questioning at an undisclosed facility of a Pakistani spy agency. Officials say Pakistan has shared the results of al-Libbi's interrogation with Washington and some other countries.
