A Russian Air Force fighter jet crashed
Thursday, killing the pilot, The Associated Press quoted a Defense Ministry spokesman as saying.
The MiG-29 crashed in the region of Tver, a city about 250
kilometers (150 miles) northwest of Moscow, the spokesman
said on condition of anonymity.
The spokesman did not give further details. It was not
clear whether the crash site was near to populated areas.
