Hijjah 13, 1431 / Nov. 19, 2010, SPA -- Russia's military said one of its fighter jets has crashed, but its crew of two ejected safely. The Defense Ministry said a MiG-31 fighter jet went down Friday during a regular training mission. It crashed near the city of Perm in the Ural Mountains about 1,150 kilometers (some 700 miles) east of Moscow and didn't cause any damage on the ground, AP reported. The ministry said the air force has grounded its MiG-31 fleet pending a probe into the crash. Military investigators said the plane went into a tailspin before pilots ejected.
