Aydh, senior vice president of Saudi Aramco's Engineering and Operation Services, will speak on the new and future projects in the oil and gas sectors. Updates of the South Rub Al-Khali Company (SRAK) and its projects in the South Rub Al-Khali sector, and the progress of Russia's Luksar Energy project in Area A of the Rub Al-Khali will be presented by Patrick Allman-Ward, CEO of SRAK, and Alexander Nikolaev, CEO of Luksar Energy. Progress in railway expansion, prospects in the mining and mineral projects, and the infrastructures needed to support transportation and development of mineral resources will be addressed respectively by Khalid Al-Yahya, president of the Saudi Railways Organization, Sultan J. Shawli, minister for Mineral Resources, and Abdullah Dabbagh, president of Ma'aden Mining. Top officials from the Electricity and Cogeneration Regulatory Authority, Saline Water Conversion Corporation, Marafiq, the GCC Interconnection Authority, and the National Power Company will discuss Saudi Arabia's 20-year electricity and desalination expansion and the opportunities awaiting the private sector. SABIC officials and heads of the various petrochemical companies already on stream and those on the planning stage will speak on the growth and the opportunities in the petrochemical sector. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu will present the expansion plans for Jubail 11 and Yanbu 11 and the facility requirements of these huge projects. A round-table discussion on how to finance the mega projects will be chaired by heads of various local, regional and international banks. Abdulrahman Rashed Al-Rashed, president of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EPCCI), which is organizing the mega conference, expects the event to invigorate foreign investments in the Kingdom. EPCCI organized the first Saudi Arabian international gas conference in May last year, which unveiled many opportunities in the gas sector for local and international investors.
