Singaporean Deputy Premier and Minister of Law Professor Jaya Kumar and the accompanying delegation met here today a number of Saudi businessmen. Speaking on the occasion, Abdulrahman Al-Jireisi, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Riyadh, said the meeting aims at enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the Saudi and Singaporean businessmen as well as boosting trade exchange between the Kingdom and Singapore. He noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia constitutes an attractive place for implementing investment projects . On his part, Professor Kumar, underlining the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and Singapore, highlighted the big strides made by the Kingdom in the various spheres. He urged the Saudi businessmen to implement investment projects in Singapore and to cooperate with Singaporean businessmen in this respect. It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Singapore amounted to SR 2311 million in 2004. Professor Kumar is accompanied by a number of businessmen who represent about 59 companies and establishments in Singapore.
