Secretary General of the Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Professor Akmaluddin Ihsan Oghli has underlined the importance of reforms in OIC. He also urged for updating OIC statutes. The remarks of Professor Oghli came during an address at a meeting of senior officials of the Muslim countries who began today preparations for convening the 32nd session of the Islamic Foreign Ministers, due to be held in Sanaa next month. 'The internal reforms in OIC's General Secretariat are aimed at improving its performance and developing its capabilities', he said. Meanwhile, a large number of the Heads of the delegations participating in the meeting expressed their support to the proposal of Professor Oghli to develop the OIC's General Secretariat and reiterated the readiness of their countries to positively contribute in this respect.
