The Secretariat General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) today welcomed Syria's announcement that it has completed troops and security forces withdrawal from Lebanese territories. Ata Almannan Bakheet, spokesperson of the Jeddah-based organization, said in a press statement that the completion of Syria's troops pull out from Lebanon once again confirms Syria's commitment to living up to its words and keenness on implementing the Security Council resolution No. 1559 and requirements of Taif Arrangement. He expressed hope that Syria's implementation of the Security Council's demands pertaining to withdrawal from Lebanon would eliminate obstacles and difficulties facing Syria in its relations with the world community and pave the way for opening a new page of fraternal relations with Lebanon based on mutual benefits and interests in all fields.
