German Defense Minister arrives in UAE

German Defense Minister Peter Struck arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sunday.
General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahayan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces, met Struck in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the German minister and his accompanying delegation, lauding ties of friendship between the two countries and their cooperation in all spheres, especially in military and defense fields, said the agency.
Sheikh Mohammed and Struck reviewed military ties and ways to enhance them. They also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest developments in the region, it added.
