A group of businessman belonging to the French Business Confederation (MEDEF) has met Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and discussed business opportunities in Pakistan, according to an official statement. The French delegation included representatives of 32 industrial groups and entrepreneurs who are currently on a visit to Pakistan and holding negotiations with the government officials. France is a major trading partner and investor in Pakistan, the prime minister told the delegation. "We value our relations with European Union and are looking for market access into Europe," the prime minister said. He added that the investment climate in Pakistan is very conducive and investors local as well as foreign should avail abundant opportunities available for investment. The prime minister said that the polices of privatization and deregulation being pursued by the government coupled with Pakistan's strategic location embracing the worlds three most important regions have made Pakistan an ideal choice for investors.
