UAE Minister for Economy and Planning Sheikha Lubna Al Qasmi has met Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, an official statement said. She is in Islamabad in connection with International Conference on Gender Mainstreaming and Mil.lennium Development Goals hosted by Ministry of Women Development. Aziz said that UAE and Pakistan have deep relations, which transcend our bonds of religion, culture, history, trade and investment. The prime minister informed the UAE minister of the commitment of the government to gender mainstreaming and the efforts being made to empower women. Ms. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasmi said that she was very pleased to see the overall progress in Pakistan especially in the field of women empowerment. She conveyed the greetings of UAE leadership to the prime minister and said that relations between the two countries were a source of peace, stability and development for the region.
