Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to the United States in late May, his office said Thursday. Erdogan's program is not yet final, his office added. The Turkish Daily News reported Thursday that Erdogan was hoping to meet with U.S. President George W. Bush. Erdogan was also seeking to meet with U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan to discuss U.N. efforts to reunify the divided Mediterranean island of Cyprus, the Turkish Daily News reported. Erdogan was also scheduled to attend the graduation of his daughter, Esra, from the University of California, Berkeley.
