The Secretary General of the Riyadh-based Gulf Cooperation Council Abdulrahman bin Hamad Alatiyyah met here today with European Union's Foreign Policy and Security Secretary General Javier Solana. Following the meeting, Alatiyyah said ways of enhancing relations between the GCC member states and the EU as well as the situation in Iraq were discussed. He said viewpoints of the two sides were identical with regard to the situation in Iraq, lauding the electoral process in the Arab country.
